The Law of the MIND: "The Birthing Mind"

                                                                         The Birthing Mind
Today's devotion is poignant! Today's devotion deals with a birthing mind, one in which produces and celebrates. It is so amazing to write about a birthing mind and one that celebrates because today (Dec 20th) is my Birthday! Out of all the days this year, this is the one when I take time to celebrate life, God's goodness, and all that I have both naturally and spiritually. My mind today is completely focused on celebrating and birthing forth destiny.
The mind is our WOMB! The mind is a place where conception gives way to great ideas, ministry initiatives, and the place where dreams and visions can be realized! The only way to allow our mind (the womb of thoughts) to go from just ideas and fantasies is to give birth to them, and produce that which burns within our hearts.
Birth: an act or instance of being born: the act or process of bearing or bringing forth offspring; to produce, originate, or create (an idea, plan, etc)
Womb: the place in which anything is formed or produced: a hollow space enclosing something, esp when dark, warm, or sheltering, a place where something is conceived.
The womb is the place of conception; you should always be pregnant with something in your mind. Even though the womb is dark place, you are never to allow yourself to live in dark thoughts. The darkness of the womb (mind) can actually be related to that of the process of the development of film. The only way film can develop properly is to be enclosed in a dark place for a period of time, then it is exposed to light and the complete image comes forth!
First, you must give your thoughts, dreams, ideas, a name… it is only until you name it that you are truly serious about birthing it forth! Just like in the natural, once a child is born, the hospital staff comes in to order a birth certificate and the first thing that they want to know, is the baby's name? God is about to give the womb of your mind (your plans, ideas, visions, and dreams) a birth certificate, which certifies and establishes them to produce greatness in the earth.
"For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace" (Romans 8:6).
The Right Kind of Seed! Since the mind is our womb, then to conceive, we must have the right kind of seed. We cannot get hooked-up with a carnal seed of thought while trying to produce greatness. Carnal seeds (thoughts) only bring forth death. These seeds are selfish, ungodly, and they choke out our destiny. Our mind (womb) is designed to only fertilize seeds that are spiritual, seeds, which produce life and peace.
Today is the birthday of your womb for the thoughts, ideas, dreams, and visions to come forth and be birthed! Today is the day to give life back to the spiritual seeds of thoughts that you have allowed to die because of trials, storms, and circumstances. I decree today (December 20th) is a life-giving day for you and the womb of your mind. There shall be a manifestation of the things of God in your life!
Happy Birthday! The Womb of your Mind has just given Birth!

The Law of the MIND: A Lost Mind

A Lost Mind

"Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth" (Colossians 3:2).
There are literally situations in life that will either almost cause you to lose your mind, or all together what to give up. The storms of life sometimes seem to collide together; it is one thing after another. This year (2011) has been such a year that most would say was the year of, "The Trying of the Mind!" Many would have to testify that they almost loss their mind trying even to cope with the hardships that this year has brought.
In this one year, the storms of life have come to try the Mental Thoughts, Intentions, Needs, & Destiny of everyone! This year has been one that you have had to keep a close watch on your daily thoughts, your intentions and motives behind everything you do, your needs, and especially guard your destiny. This year has been one to shake the entire M.I.N.D. (Mental Thoughts, Intentions, Needs, & Destiny).
Today, I want to deal with the Lost Mind as it relates to godly Mental Thoughts or the lack their of…
The word LOST is defined as: Something no longer possessed or retained, something that is no longer to be found. Something having gone astray or missed the way; bewildered as to place, direction, etc… Something not used to good purpose, as opportunities, time, or labor; wasted…being something that someone has failed to win.
When we have a lost mind then we are essentially saying that our mind is no longer possessed or retained, it cannot be found, it is bewildered, gone astray, not being used for a good purpose, has no direction, and finally something that is wasted and fails to win at everyday life. This is a Lost Mind!
L.O.S.T. (Loss of Stable Thoughts)
When our minds are Lost, then we do not have stable thoughts. Ungodly thoughts which causes us to loss our minds, are the thoughts that are absent of God. We can only have Winning thoughts when we allow God to invade our minds, guide our thoughts, and dismiss distractions.
"He came to himself, and he came to his senses" (Luke 15:17 NLT).
You can always come back home, back to the heart of God, your First Love. I am reminded of the prodigal son in Luke 15: although he had an inheritance that was his even before birth, the enticement of "something more or something better" drew him into a life that was not in line with his heritage. After being disobedient and causing his own pain and demise, he found himself at his lowest point in a pigpen eating slop. The Bible records a profound statement, which describes the most defining moment in the prodigal son's life, "He came to himself, and he came to his senses" (v.17 NLT).
My dear sisters and brothers, I know you feel that you have made reprehensible decisions concerning your life and that you have forfeited some things, but I declare unto you that you can always come back home. You are not what happened to you, even during your straying away and backsliding moments. When the prodigal son came to himself and his senses, he realized, "life has to be better than this, and there is a greater plan for my life."
I want you to know that God just pressed pause button while you were on the search and quest of who you thought you were, although it was outside of His will. If you don't know God, then you will never know or understand yourself.
Like the prodigal son, we must come to our senses and Recover Our Lost Mind. How does one Recover A Lost Mind? One that has been wasted, has no direction, no good purpose, and has succumbed to hardships and trials. The Recovery of a Lost Mind starts with the setting or rather he re-focusing of the mind. We look to the scripture of Colossians 3:2, "Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth."
If our minds are set on things above rather than the things of this earth, then we cannot ever "lose" our minds… there are no lost minds in heaven or in the purpose/plan of God. We have to have a god-centered mind in order to keep it. All thought shave to be subject to Him. Ehen the ungodly thoughts cone to get us off track, in that moment we have to cast them down.
"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled" (2 Corinthians 10:4-6).
The Five (5) Steps to Recover A Lost Mind:
Like the Prodigal Son, We Must Come to Our Senses…
1.      Sight: This is Vision. You have to remember the dreams and the vision that God gave you concerning your life. When you get to a point when you can't see your way, then go back to what God showed you before you started going through. Come to the sense of your vision while you are going through. You have to walk by faith and not by sight; you have to realize that you are to focus on that which is unseen versus that which is seen. If you received it in the spiritual realm, then it has to be birthed out in the spiritual realm You can't birth God's spiritual vision in the flesh of your doubts! Don't worry about what it looks like now; remember what God showed you it would be.
2.      Hearing: This is your Ear Gate. This is where the battle is lost or won. Too many times in our season of coming to ourselves, we allow the wrong people to speak into our lives. "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). After hearing the word, then there has to be faith and belief of the report. It is what you listen to and say that you will believe. I don't care where you are in life, start talking to yourself and believe the report of the good news! You are coming out! If you feel that you are at your worst point, start speaking life, so that you can live a positive and abundant life. It may look like death, but you don't have to speak death. Speak out what you hear, and LIVE!
3.      Smell. A lot of times, this is the sense we rely on to let us know if we want to be around, eat, or deal with something. If it is not up to par, we say, "It does not smell right." This is the sense that has to be inhaled in order to be discerned. It has to seep into us in order for us to form an opinion of it. This is the sense that even the Lord operates in as it concerns our worship, which is a sweet smelling aroma to Him (Ephesians 5:2). If we send up worship, the Bible promises that the Lord will inhabit us. Consider what you are taking in, because this is what you will release out of you. Send up a smoke signal to the Lord, which is your worship. Even in a rescue mission, the rescuers look for a smoke signal to identify where someone is. There is a rescue mission right now with your name on it; God is able to locate you by your worship. This is why the Bible tells us that everything that has breath should praise the Lord. Right now, let out your breath and worship God for who He is. Take a deep breath and breathe in all that God is and then with that same breath release praise, as you never have before. Sometimes, we are confined by the situations of life because we have Shut-up our Praise! Release is the word over you today!
4.      Taste. This is the sense in which you have to ingest something. You have to be hungry in order to want to taste. You have to desire or want something in order to taste it. When you get ready to taste something, you possess it, you seize it and then you take it in. What has your attention? If it has your attention, then it has your focus. If it has your focus, then it has your future, and it is in control. What has control over you? What power have you given that relationship, your family, the job, the status, and the materialistic things? You have given these things power over you to possess you. Taste life again! Possess it, seize it, and take it all in. Get ready to move and get ready for the next step of elevation. You can taste and even feel that you are about to put your hand on the blessings that are ahead of you. Don't lose your hunger and thirst for more; this signifies that there is more to come in your life.
5.      Touch. This deals with your perseverance and determination. Whatever you purpose yourself to touch, connect to, and make contact with that will be the very thing that will determine where you are going. If you want to know where you are going, then check what you are connected to now. What you lay hold of will be what you become. Make direct contact/connection with God in order to keep a sound mind every day.
**Today, make a commitment to set your mind on things above, and not on the things of this earth, and to also come to yourself (to your senses) and change the direction of your life through the help and power of God so that you can Recover Your Mind!

The Law of The Mind: The Beautiful Mind

The Beautiful Mind
"To the pure and beautiful mind all things are pure and beautiful, but to those whose minds are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure and beautiful; their mind and conscience are defiled"
(Titus 1:15, emphasis added).

In today's society, much emphasis is placed upon the outward appearance of someone. People are literally judged by how they look as to whether someone will hire them, marry them, or even befriend them. Beauty is a billion-dollar industry and people are constantly trying to keep up with the latest fashions, trends, and even getting plastic surgery in order to just compete and meet the status quo of what the media says is beautiful.
I believe beauty starts within. First, beauty is a mindset. I know the old saying of: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!" I want you to think of it like this, "Beauty is in the Mind of its Beholder!" Only you as it relates to the thoughts of your mind can determine if you will be a beautiful person, and not only a beautiful face. Your physical looks will fade, but your thoughts will remain until the end of time (as it relates to your life).
Beauty/Beautiful is defined as having beauty; having qualities that give great pleasure or satisfaction to see, hear, think about, etc… Beauty in delighting the senses or the mind… For something to be beautiful then it is has to be wonderful, fantastic, extraordinary, incredible, and attractive.
Our minds should be Beautiful! We should have wonderful, fantastic, extraordinary, incredible, and attractive thoughts every day! A beautiful mind brings great pleasure and satisfaction to every area of our lives. Your thoughts shape your entire life. Thoughts are the core of our emotional, spiritual, physical, and relational health. If you feel poor in the health of these areas, then check your thoughts and see if they are beautiful or ugly! Ugly thoughts produce an ugly life.
The Beautiful Mind of God:
Since God has a Beautiful Mind, we should too!
Psalm  40:5
"Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered."
Psalm  139:17
"How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!"
Anxious thoughts don't produce beauty…
Job 20:2
"Therefore my anxious thoughts make me answer, Because of the turmoil within me.
Psalm 10:4
"The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts."
How do we Stop having anxious thoughts?
Philippians 4:6-7 says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Prayer, Supplication, & Thanksgiving are the antidote to an anxious mind!
First, one must pray (communicate) with God in order to have and possess a beautiful mind.
Secondly, one must make supplication (humble & earnest petitions) to God to achieve a beautiful mind that produces results.
Lastly, one must gives thanks to God in order to keep a beautiful and joyous mind.
What are Beautiful Thoughts?
Philippians 4:8
[ Meditate on These Things ] Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things!
Meditate on the Super 8!
·         True/Truth
·         Noble/Nobility
·         Just/Justice
·         Pure/Purity
·         Lovely/Beauty
·         Good Report/Manifestation
·         Virtue
·         Praiseworthy
Every day Meditate (ponder purposefully) on living and walking in truth, having the character of nobility, being just to all men and extending gracious justice to every situation. Being pure in all thoughts and displaying purity in your daily lifestyle. Meditate continually on being lovely in countenance while waiting patiently on the good report of manifestation. Walk in virtue (excellence) every day and allowing continual praise to come forth in all situations.
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
"A Beautiful Mind, Produces A Beautiful Future!"

The Law of the MIND: A Changed Mind!

The Law of the MIND
Mental Thoughts, Intentions, Needs, & Destiny
First things first…Let's get a working definition of the Law of the Mind!
The Mind is defined as being the conscious being. The element, part, substance, or process that reasons, thinks, feels, wills, perceives, and judges. The mind is a process of thoughts.
The mind is the totality of conscious and unconscious mental processes and activities. It is the intellect or understanding, as distinguished from the faculties of feeling and willing. It is one's intelligence.
The mind is that part of a human being that thinks, feels, and wills, as contrasted with body.  The intellect of the mind is reasoning power as distinguished from feeling.
This series will tackle the Law of the Mind. What is the LAW? The word Law is defined as Law: the principles and regulations established in whether in the form of custom and policies recognized and enforced by mental decision. The law as it relates to the mind is the positive rule or collection of rules prescribed under the authority of God.  The Law of the mind is the state one's views authoritatively.
The Law of the Mind is the principles established by mental decisions that are under the authority of God as it relates to one's thoughts, feelings, judgments, and divine will and destiny!
We were first created by and through the mind of God. First, you were a thought in the mind of God.  The word thought means to have belief, hope, expectation, and creativity.  In the beginning, before you were even in your mother's womb, God had a thought about you even before He created you.  He was inspired to have belief, hope, and expectation as to how you would turn out.  The first chapter of Genesis discusses how when God made everything, He said, "It is Good!"  When God just thought about you, He said, "You are Good!"  When something is good it is better than average; it is desirable, excellent and of high quality.  My sister and brother, you are a Good Thing!
The state of the mind.  The mind is the central part of who you are. The Bible declares, "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7).  Thoughts are the dominating force in your being and in who you are becoming. The thoughts of today actually carve out your path for tomorrow.
A Changed Mind:
We as human beings have the unique opportunity to make a change every day. The opportunity to change is made by decisions. We can change or decided to change what we wear, where we live, who we associate with, etc… You are tired of the thoughts that box you and God in. You are tired of the depression, the approval addiction, and all the other things that are causing you to live a life that is beneath your godly inheritance.
Believe it or not, the first thing that has to change in order or there to be a difference in your life is your MIND (your daily thoughts). Thoughts are powerful because they can build or they can be destructive. They can cause you to [pursue or cause you to coward away in fear. Today, I want to help you have a change of mind in your daily thoughts.
"The thoughts of today actually carve out your path for tomorrow."
First, change is a mindset.  What are you talking about?  It is all about what you think and what you speak that determines your life and destiny. "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7).  What you dwell upon, you will become.  Therefore, if the past has you in the grips of its despair and this is your focus, then all you will ever see, have, or possess is the past. What you place your focus on will become the very thing that drives you, and whatever drives you determines where and which way you are going.
So, if you don't like where you are going, change the driver's seat in your mind.  What you think determines what you say. The Bible says in Proverbs 18:20, "A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; From the produce of his lips he shall be filled."  If you truly had to live, be filled, and satisfied in life based on what you thought and said every day, what type of life would you live?  If everything was based solely on your thoughts and words, what would the world around you be like?
Imagine you are about to move into your dream house.  Right now, you are taking inventory of everything that is in your old house (the old season/mindset), because you know you don't want to carry the old over into the new.  You begin to trash the things that are useless and keep the things that are beneficial.
I want you to think of your new house as your new mind, the new thoughts and the new vision that you have for your life.  Just like in the analogy of moving from the old house, some things cannot make the new home beautiful or rather, they do not go with the new décor.  Your old mindset does not go with the new décor of what the Lord is trying to do in your life.
"What you allow to invade your mind will determine the territory that you will possess."
Don't allow your mind to think anything that you don't want to possess in this season.  In this season, your thoughts are seeds for your upcoming harvest.  You are a farmer; your seeds are your thoughts, words, and whatsoever you think and say will come up in the next season as your Harvest.  Today is your day of change.
Step 1: Change Your Thoughts and Words, then Your Situation will Change.  A New Beginning starts in the mind.  You have to make your mind up right now that you are not going to live this way anymore.  All you need to do is just turn around and change the direction of your mind and thoughts.  The first step is to speak positively about your life, which will then help you to speak joy and blessings into the lives of others.
What are you dwelling upon now?  Because whatever has your mind and your focus has control of you, and you are therefore yielding power to that very thing.  If you are focused and set on achieving your goals and becoming all that you can, then you are yielding yourself to success.  On the other hand, if you focus on failures and bad things, then you will have those things in life.  What you think drives the laws of attraction.  What you think really does attract those things into your life.  Your thoughts entice and draw to you what you will have.
You entertain a thought about something, and thereby you literally send out a signal saying, "I want this to come into my life."  However, some things do occur in our lives just because there are things that we will go through.  It is obvious that the very things you have thought about happening in your life actually begin to manifest.  Old thinking cannot work for new things; the old can't produce the new!
"If you don't want it, then don't think about it!"
Change begins as just a thought in your mind, grows into a desire in your heart, and finally manifests outwardly after you surrender.  "Do not be Conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind daily" (Romans 12:2). Be of one mind; don't allow life to make you double minded (James 1:8). It is not what you go through, but what you learn while you go through it, and how you set your mind to go through it.  Get out of the mindset that boxes God in.
"Your happiness is a mindset; it all begins with your daily thoughts and focus."
