Day#20-21 LOVE!

1 Corinthians 13
[ The Greatest Gift ] Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing…
1 Corinthians 13:13
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Love is so important that I thought it best to give it two (2) days. If we don't possess, exercise, or give love daily then life means nothing, without love there is no life, salvation, grace…nothing can exist without love!
1 John 4:8
He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love
The word LOVE is found over 546 times in the Bible. This lets us to know that this in fact a very important word that we need to take note of in our lives, in our vocabulary, and in our actions!
When I began to research the word Love, I found that the first time that it is mentioned in any form in the Bible is in Genesis 22:2 and it states, "And he (God) said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a sacrificial offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
I want to discuss the Beginning (The Genesis) of Love and the Ending/Completion (The Revelation) of Love! In order to understand the total concept of love we must first deal with its SACRIFICE! The word Sacrifice is defined as the act of offering something to a deity as propitiation (meaning for the accommodation, adjustment, alleviation, reconciliation, reparation, restoration, and settlement) of something, now this is what a sacrifice is!
But the Action of a sacrifice is when you make a forfeiture of something highly valued for the sake of one considered to have a greater value or claim. I find it interesting that the first time that we find the word love in the Bible it is attached to a sacrifice. Understand that if you have true love in your life then you and that love are willing to make sacrifices for each other – you both are willing to give up some things in order to see your relationship develop into its total fulfillment. You both are willing to accommodate some things, adjust some things, alleviate some things, reconcile some things, and restore some things when you make a sacrifice for Love.
We find in the text that before Abraham had to make a sacrifice to prove his love for God that there first was a Promise made to him by God. A Promise is a declaration assuring that one will do something; it is a vow. A Promise is the indication of something favorable to come; it is an expectation of an indication of future excellence or success!
After God has given you a promise, then there is a walk and a road called Obedience!  The word obedience means to carry out or fulfill the command, order, or instruction of something. When you obey God, you carry out or comply with submission & surrenderence to His authority. See if You Obey and Believe God will bring forth the promised Blessing.
A Promise (a vow by God) comes before Obedience (the compliance to do what the Lord will have you to do) and Obedience comes before a Sacrifice (the process of giving up something) and a Sacrifice comes before Love!
Love is a deep tender feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness. Love to a human is a feeling of intense desire and intense emotional attachment of attraction toward a person.  Moreover, this is what love is according to man, and because Abraham had deep feelings of affection, an intense desire of emotion, and an intimate attraction to God as his Father, Abraham was going to slew Isaac for his sacrifice of love to God. when they got to the top of the mountain, Isaac asked Abraham, "where is the ram that we will sacrifice?"  Abraham simply replied, "God Will Provide!"
This was the Genesis of Love! Meaning this was the act or process of bringing Love into being, the start of Love. The Genesis of Love is the time when something begins; it is the source; the origin; the first part. In order for you to really understand LOVE, you have to look at it through the eyes of God in the Bible. Love according to God is unconditional! It is not subjective, meaning that it will change. Love to God covers a multitude of sin. Love according to the book Exodus 20:6 is, "God showing mercy unto thousands of them that love him, and that keep his commandments." Love according to the book of Proverbs 8:21 "causes those that love God to inherit substance; and he fills their treasures."  Paul said that God's love was like this in the book of Romans, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose (8:28)." "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness...Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." The Promise of this scripture is that God would give us eternal life. The Obedience of this scripture is that we must walk in faith and believe in Jesus. The Sacrifice in this scripture by God was that he gave his only begotten Son! The LOVE of this scripture is that of the world! The Lord gave his only Son for the revelation of love!
Revelation means something is completed and a result is brought forth. God's Sacrifice was the completion of Love and the result for us tonight is eternal life. God will never ask you to do something that He will not do himself. In the Genesis of love, he asked Abraham to give up his son, but decided to provide a Ram. In the Revelation of Love, God decided to give up his Son and provide him as a Lamb! This is the Sacrifice that Love made when it found you! When you find something, you recover it. God made a sacrifice of love to find you and recover you from the mess that you were once in.
Revelation 1:4-5 says, "Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come…And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth…now unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood!!" This is the SACARIFICE THAT LOVE MADE WHEN IT FOUND YOU!
