“Daily Benefits”-The Total Purpose of Life Series (Day#5)

“Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”

Ephesians 5:17

There comes a time in all of our lives when we have to do a life assessment and truly discern where we are in life, especially as it relates to where God is calling us to be. Many times, we compare and compete with others and use them as some type of measuring stick to determine where we are in life. We try to determine how successful we are using man’s standard. When you have a Providential and divine call on your life, you cannot use carnal standards to gauge your success of where you are. This type of spirit and carnality often brings about pride, rather than humility. Wisdom does not trust the flesh, but seeks the spirit to establish order. “Knowledge helps, but Wisdom leads and guides.”

Knowledge is about learning… WISDOM is about LIVING!

Purpose is so important that God cautions us not to be unwise, but to have wisdom and understanding what His will and purpose is concerning our lives. Wisdom is God’s voice in action. It God’s divine instructions about who you are and what you are to do. In order to possess wisdom, you must seek God. So, if this is being wise, then being unwise is the enemy’s voice in action in your life, his ungodly and “un-divine” instruction in your life.

Understand that the mission and vision statement of God’s will vs. the enemy’s will is clearly stated in the Bible. God’s divine wisdom and will vs. the enemy’s deceptive and destruction will is stated in black and white in John 10:10.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

The enemy is the thief and robber of your God ordained purpose. He comes with his deception, sins, and destruction to steal from you, kill you, and destroy you. The enemy’s mission is to make sure you don’t succeed at yours. How do you defeat this thief and enemy, to not be unwise about what God has said about you and what He has for you. You have to turn a deaf ear to the enemy.

God sent Jesus to give us a new and total life of purpose! God wants you to have an abundant life of love, blessings, joy, peace, wisdom, and faith! Purpose is birth through the canal of wisdom. Purpose can’t come forth without God’s wisdom. It is God’s wisdom, his divine voice of action speaking into your life that will instruct you as to what to do to make a great impact in the world.

What Will Wisdom Do for You?

“Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you, Love her, and she will keep you. Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding .Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her” (Proverbs 4:5-8).

She will Give You Understanding.

She will Preserve You.

She will Keep You.

She will Promote You.

She will Bring You Honor.

Take 60 seconds and think of anything in the world that will give you Understanding, Preserve you, Keep you, Promote you, and Bring you Honor… Okay! Give up? There is nothing else. So, what is the missing piece of the puzzle that you are searching for in life? It Is WISDOM!

It is Time to Demonstrate Wisdom. You have growth and knowledge, but you need fruit and wisdom. When we demonstrate something, we manifest it, exhibit it, and we show evidence of its effect in our lives.

Wisdom brings forth evidence in our lives when we learn not to make the same mistakes repeatedly. Wisdom allows us to know that change can come forth. The change most of us desire is not in a thing or a person, but in the divine essence of God’s infinite wisdom. When we don’t know, God does and we need His wisdom to guide us and order our steps.

Wisdom is a Life sentence of Favor, so hold on to her and don’t let go. Without her, your journey to destiny will be blurry, desolate, and hindered. Wisdom is our roadmap or exit sign to know where to get on and off in various areas of our lives. Wisdom keeps us from trouble, and most of all, it keeps our emotions in check. Often, we make crucial decisions in desperate times and in the feeling or heat of the moment. Wisdom is not diluted or deterred by any outside source. Wisdom stands alone and is sufficient to withstand anything. Wisdom sees beyond where we are, in order to guide us to where we should be.

The Wealth of Wisdom:

“Receive my instruction, and not silver, And knowledge rather than choice gold; For wisdom is better than rubies, And all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her”
 (Proverbs 8:10-11).

Imagine, if you will, a platinum and diamond encrusted Tiffany and Co. bracelet or a Presidential Rolex watch. Now, think about the gold on an Oscar Award. All are very beautiful elements in and of themselves, but guess what? They cannot compare to the Wealth and Value of Wisdom. Now imagine for a moment everything in life that you have ever wanted and desired. Guess what? Wisdom exceeds that, too! Wisdom’s value and wealth is immeasurable; nothing else compares. Wisdom is the stock market that will never crash and wisdom is Recession Proof! There is no substitute for Wisdom; you either have it or you don’t.

In every area of your life about which you would say, “It looks like there is Nothing,” I declare to you that Wisdom has come to bring forth to fruition what you can’t see right now. Wisdom is continually referred to in the passage as being “brought forth.” “Wisdom is the birth canal to all Great Things!”

Ask For Wisdom & Everything Else Will Follow

“God said to him, Because you have asked this and have not asked for long life or for riches, nor for the lives of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to recognize what is just and right, 1Behold, I have done as you asked. I have given you a wise, discerning mind, so that no one before you was your equal, nor shall any arise after you equal to you. I have also given you what you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that there shall not be any among the kings equal to you all your days” (1 Kings 3:11-13).

Learn how to ask for the right things. Today, if God told you that you could ask for anything and He would grant it to you, what would you ask for?

What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You

A lack of knowledge causes us to be uninformed or ill-equipped in a situation. It is not enough for you to have just a little wisdom, because God desires for us to walk in wisdom liberally. Knowledge can be acquired in life through education, or even through reading, but God gives wisdom. Wisdom must be sought and it gives insight to more than you can imagine. Knowledge tells you about what was and prepares you for what could happen, but wisdom is the definitive answer for all situations.

Knowledge helps us, but wisdom leads and guides us. Knowing is the path to destiny, but wisdom is the key to unlock the door! You can’t even know God through mere knowledge, but rather, He has to be known through wisdom. Wisdom is Divine. Wisdom is outside the scope of our finite minds. Therefore, when you do not know and things seem out of order, then it is time to invite Wisdom in, not just as a guest, but as a permanent resident. God gives us Wisdom to know Him better.

The First order of the development of wisdom is your Talk and Speech. Wisdom causes you to speak instruction and not foolishness. Wisdom puts away the talk of doubt, low self-esteem, and helplessness. Wisdom also empowers you to walk in authority and to speak blessings upon your life.

The Second level of the development of Wisdom is your Thoughts. “As a man thinks, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). Wisdom causes you to see the past, but not live in the likeness of it. Wisdom transforms your thoughts to envision what you are to be, despite what others say or think about you. Wisdom causes you to think good thoughts of hope and about the great future that God has promised you.

The Third level of the development of wisdom is your reasoning. Wisdom causes you not to just stand still, but to take a step and stand on what you know to be true. Wisdom brings truth to all situations. You don’t have to over-think when wisdom is present; you just walk in its counsel. Wisdom will not mislead you because it is not subjected to emotions or feelings, but to the definitive word of God.

The Fourth level of the development of Wisdom is to close the door on childish things. We all have something we need to put away. Many times, it is our thoughts or something from our past that we keep allowing to discredit us. We all need to realize what things we have outgrown, but yet we still pull out every day to play with. We pull them out in order to feel better about ourselves. These childish things are not aids to us, but they actually hinder us. Growth is a part of life and it is crucial to life. “Anything that does not Grow will Die!”

“Wisdom does not leave you where it found you…

It Takes You To Your Purpose!”

“Daily Benefits”- The Total Purpose of Life Series (Day 4)

Proverbs 19:21 (NIV)

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.

Before you can do what you are supposed to or purposed to do, you must first know who you are in Christ.

Purpose is- “The process by which a man/woman matures into the representation of God’s image, likeness, characteristics, authority, and dominion on the earth.” In essence, I am saying that you become your purpose when you start to represent and look like God. Not look like what you want to look like, or act how you want to act, nor setting your own rules.

So how do you look like God in the earth, and what would God do in daily life on earth if he was walking around amongst others? God would bring the glory aspect to and out of everything! Again, purpose is not momentary; it is every moment and in everything. Everything must bring glory to God in order for it to be purpose. Yes, everything! No matter how small to you, it must bring Glory to God!

1 Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV)

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Now that you know what your purpose is to (for) God and you know your identity, now what is your Purpose? What On Earth Are You To Do?

First, all Believers have the same Foundational Masterpiece Purpose:

• Seek and save the lost- (The Great Commission)

• Love your neighbor as yourself- (Selfless Love)

• We are all called to the Ministry of Pray

The Great Commission

Matthew 28:18-20

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Purpose will cause you to move out of your comfort zone. Purpose will give you mobility. We are to make disciples of our family, co-workers, community, and the world. We are to teach all people the ordinances of God and his word. When was the last time you taught somebody about God? When was the last time you gave your testimony? When was the last time you witnessed Christ to someone?

When you pinpoint when you did these things, then you have targeted your purpose. So, if you want to walk in purpose today, then witness, testify, teach, and make disciples for God’s gory!

Matthew 22:39

You shall love your neighbor as yourself
Next, we are all called and purposed to Love. Not just love those that love us, but to love the unlovable. This aspect of love means to sacrifice, forgive, have mercy, give grace, and to have loving-kindness to all. I believe this aspect of the masterpiece of our purpose is the hardest one. Again, we all want the forgiving, graceful, giving, merciful, and kind love, but it is so hard to give sometimes when we have been hurt and offended. So, if you want to walk in purpose today, then give love sacrificially, mercifully, forgivingly, gracefully, and kindly!

Luke 18:1

Men always ought to pray and not lose heart

Lastly, Prayer is the ministry of every believer. If you are not praying, then you are not communicating with God. Prayer causes us to repent, change, become wise, and come into agreement with other believers in faith. Prayer is primarily an act of surrendering to God by telling Him you cannot change this situation and thereby, you are praying to Him to change it. You are the vessel of prayer and God is the Power of the Prayer. When you take time to pray, you have just taken time to change your life and the lives of all those you are praying and interceding for.

Intercession brings others to an Intersection in their life

All these things (discipleship, love, & prayer) pertain to getting the Masterpiece-what is in you out of you so you can be a blessing of purpose to others! All these things work together to form the masterpiece that you already are on earth. Yes, you are a masterpiece. I know for many of you right now, your life seems to be a mess and not a masterpiece.

Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned/purposed for us long ago.

Your purpose in God was planned long ago in Him. The more you allow your life to be formed and fashioned in this purpose then you will be able to do the good things He has already planned.

A masterpiece takes time and work, you are a masterpiece and the purpose that is within you takes time to be worked out of you. There is a season and a time in which all the things within you will come forth. Allow God to orchestrate all the seasons and times of your life for your purpose.

A Masterpiece focuses less on doing something, but just simply being a masterpiece… Identity! The foundation to operate as a masterpiece of purpose is to fulfill the Great Commission by Making Disciples, Loving others as you love yourself, and finally Praying and interceding daily!

When you can allow your life to be that of discipleship, love, and prayer, you are walking in the Glory of God’s purpose for your life. These foundational principles will cause you to prosper in all things, and prosper those around you. Purpose is greater than you are, so it includes more than you!

Glory is the recognition of God’s essence. Does your life look like God? Does your life look like discipleship, love, and prayer? Can others recognize God in your life? What is your life saying about you?

You cannot do something, until you have exhibited the presence of God’s glory in your life in the earth. If you try to do before you know, then you are operating in plans, and not in purpose. You are operating in you, and not in God! Plans will do a lot, but change nothing or no one, but purpose will glorify God and accomplish all things in the world.

Plans are performance driven, and cause you to never feel good enough. Purpose allows you to know you are a masterpiece in God and you are not only good enough, but you now have the capability to do good things that impact the world.

So today, live on purpose and be the great Masterpiece that you are by making disciples, loving others, and praying without ceasing.

“God has given you everything (placed inside of you) what is needed to reproduce Him on the earth!”
